Clouds -- This is a little generative sequencer I've built in MaxMSP. It chooses which notes to play when (with a little user guidance at the beginning...). The synth sound is still on the simple side, but that's the next project. For now, enjoy this chill little minute.

Bubblespace -- For today's piece I experimented with an unusual sequencer tool called Refmatrix. After generating some random patterns I cut and pasted the bits I like into this spacey little piece.

Boiling -- Boil"ing\, a. Heated to the point of bubbling; heaving with bubbles; in tumultuous agitation, as boiling liquid; surging; seething; swelling with heat, ardor, or passion.

Boiling point, the temperature at which a fluid is converted into vapor, with the phenomena of ebullition. This is different for different liquids, and for the same liquid under different pressures. For water, at the level of the sea, barometer 30 in., it is 212 [deg] Fahrenheit; for alcohol, 172.96[deg]; for ether, 94.8[deg]; for mercury, about 675[deg]. The boiling point of water is lowered one degree Fahrenheit for about 550 feet of ascent above the level of the sea.

Drum Patch -- Today I decided to begin work on performance instrument in MaxMSP. It will consist of a series of modules that generate sound and rhythm based on performance input. This will be a large project that will take me a while to finish. As I work out new modules, or parts of modules, I will create pieces of a suitable length for 60x365.

The first module segment is a drum sample/delay patch. There are impulse controls, plus a randomized delay and pitch-shift filter. I plan to add one or two more layers to this eventually in order to create the complete percussion module. Stay tuned.
